Repair Motor Matic Injection Difficult to Turn

Posted by

Apart from having advantages, a motorbike with an injection system is also not free from weaknesses. The injection motor is said to be more complicated to turn on when it is on strike. Indeed, the rider will panic suddenly on the way the motorbike breaks down, especially the automatic injection system motorbike, panic even more. But actually this situation can be overcome as long as we know the cause.
Yes, a motorbike with EFI (Electric Fuel Injection) technology does replace the task of the carburetor. In this EFI system, the carburetor component is even more simplified, which only has a gas valve without a pilot jet. Meanwhile, the fuel is directly supplied from the tank via an injector, which is electrically regulated by the ECU (Electronic Control Unit). So that combustion is more efficient.
Now from the advantages, why is it that an automatic motorbike with an injection system will be more difficult to start than a carburetor system motorbike, then how to solve it. Well, on this occasion we will discuss some of the problems and how to deal with an injection automatic motorbike that is hard to start.

1. Motorcycle broke down because it ran out of gas
The trivial cause of a motorcycle stall is because it runs out of gas. But indeed people think if the injection motorbike runs out of gasoline it will be difficult to start. Why is that? yes EFI technology includes fuel pressure in the fuel line, so when it runs out of gas there will be air going into the gasoline hose. This will cause the motorbike to be difficult to turn on even though it is filled with gasoline. Fuel pressure is disturbed by the presence of air in the system. But there is no need to be afraid that actually a motorbike with an EFI system is equipped with a system that can make air or bleed automatically. Then how do you do it? see below
  • Make sure gas has been filled
  • Turn the ignition on and hold for about 4 seconds
  • Then turn it back to the off position
  • Do the 2 steps above 4 to 5 times so that when the key is in the ON position, the fuel pum will pump gasoline into the channel. If done several times there will be a bleeding process then the air will collect at the end of the injector.
  • After a new starter and the engine will start as usual
2. Battery comes short
In contrast to the motor carburetor system where the battery is used only for the starter process, but in the motor, the battery injection system acts to stabilize the motor's electricity. If the battery is damaged or exchanged, of course the voltage will drop and then impact the electric current in the ECU as well as the fuel pump which will also drop and the motor may crash. So make sure your motorbike battery doesn't come up short, if it's damaged, replace your motorbike battery.

3. The fuel pump is faulty
A damaged fuel pump can have a fatal impact on the automatic injection motorbike because the gasoline does not come out of the injector. To check, you just have to turn on the motor contacts and then a buzzing sound from the tank is a sign the fuel pump is on, but if you can hear your fuel pum is damaged and must be replaced.

4. Damage to one of the sensors
The EFI system also includes sensors that function to check conditions in certain areas. This sensor will send data containing the air flow and intake air flow temperature. If there is damage to the sensor, it will have an effect on the engine running imperfectly until it dies. Usually this problem begins with the Check engine light on. To find out more clearly which sensor is damaged you must need a scanner or bring it to an official repair shop.

5. Affected by flood
A motor that is flooded will also be difficult to turn on, not only on the injection motor, the carburetor motor will also be difficult to start if it is flooded. Water can interfere with the electrical system including spark plugs and water gets into the exhaust. So what you have to do is get the water out.
Hopefully this information is useful, if you have more friends about the causes and ways of overcoming an injection automatic motorbike that is hard to turn on, let's comment in the comments column. Just an addition, so that the motorbike doesn't break down easily, use high-octane gasoline because the injection motorbike is very sensitive to bad quality gasoline. Then you can heat the motorbike in the morning before driving so that the battery is fully charged and finally take care of your motorbike regularly.
