Tips For Cable Coil

Posted by

Coil ignition is one component of the motorcycle engine. Its function is to raise the voltage of the battery at 12V into thousands of volts. The high voltage that will be distributed to the spark plugs and sparks. Coil wires are high voltage distributor. This cable is coated by rubber which serves to maintain the current so as not to jump from the cable. This cable can also wear out and break. What happens if the cable breaks? Motor performance definitely down due to a miss-fire. Electricity will jump to ground before reaching the spark plug (leakage power).
There are several causes of electrical leakage. The first can of cracks on the coil wires have less good material. Both can also use coils of age. Cable layout is adjacent to the engine so that receiving continuous heat and cause the rubber cord broke.
Here are tips to prevent electrical leakage as well overcome the coil cable:
1 Attach Hose
Plastic tube about the size of the cable cross-sectional area can cover cracks coil wires. The hose can be obtained from the cable shield gas hose / choke or from a regular water hose. The trick is just menyelubungkan hose along the coil wires.

2 Such Cable Insulation
In addition to the hose, insulation can also be used as cable coating. The way to clean dust from the insulation of the cable with a strong glue. Then the paper is attached to the cable insulation and covered with black insulation / isolation fuels.
3 Sealer
Use of sealer is more effectively used in connection to the cop spark plug wires or cable connection to the coil. Less efficient when applying sealer to the entire surface of the spark plug wires.
4 The Importance of Ground
Coil holder functions simultaneously with the process of grounding. If the coil is only mounted on one stand ground alone, that goes to the coil currents less than the maximum and the output voltage will drop. Performance of the motor was going to degenerate and this incident was already high when the engine turns. The machine will feel less explosive because the spark plug is able to create sparks.
